Hosted by the Institute of Kambo Advancement and Preservation (I-KAP), as a 501(c)3 registered non-profit, we are dedicated to supporting indigenous leaders and communities by featuring indigenous voices and generating funds to support reciprocity projects, cultural preservation, and conservation initiatives. All profits generated from the conference go directly to funding projects that support indigenous communities of the Amazon that we work with closely.
Aldeia pinuya- Huni Kuin- Musician
Nawá Siã Huni Kuin is a young Indigenous leader, singer, musician, and guardian of the musical traditions and medicine of the Huni Kuin people, from Aldeia Pinuya in Acre, Brazilian Amazon. From a young age, Nawá Siã dedicated himself to the study of Huni Kuin spirituality and ancestral traditions, learning alongside elders of his community, including spiritual leader Kupi Huni Kuin. His path has been particularly devoted to the study and preservation of traditional medicine chants known as huni meka, healing prayers known as pakarin, and the songs and teachings connected to the medicines and spirituality of his people. Since the age of 17, Nawá Siã has traveled throughout Brazil and later internationally, sharing Huni Kuin music, culture, spirituality, and ancestral knowledge. He represents a new generation of Huni Kuin youth carrying these traditions forward while creating a bridge between the wisdom of the elders and the world outside the Amazon. As a singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Nawá Siã combines traditional chants with his own original songs and melodies. His music has been recorded and released internationally, including collaborations with Kupi Huni Kuin, and reflects the relationship between the Huni Kuin people, the forest, spirituality, and sacred medicines.
Aldeia Pinuya Paje- Huni kuin
Bixku Huni Kuin is an Indigenous leader, spiritual leader, and guardian of the ancestral traditions of the Huni Kuin people of the Brazilian Amazon. He comes from Aldeia Pinuya, in the region of Tarauacá, Acre, where he has been a reference in the spiritual work of his community for more than 12 years. One of the principal leaders of Pinuya, Bixku has dedicated his path to preserving and strengthening Huni Kuin culture, spirituality, traditional medicines, songs, prayers, and the ancestral knowledge transmitted through generations. He currently serves as Vice President of OAKAT27, an Indigenous association of the Colônia 27 Indigenous Land, where he works on projects supporting local families and strengthening the community. He is also a representative of the Pinu Huya Keneya group and has played an important role in organizing traditional gatherings, retreats, and medicine festivals within his community.
Matses chief of Ibama community
Daniel Manquid Jimenez is a Matses by heritage and chief of the Ibama native community outside of Iquitos, Peru. He has a passion for supporting his family village and working with the modern world to keep indigenous traditions alive. He shares about his personal and ancestral experience with Kambo medicine and is working to create the first legitimate frog reserve recognized by the government of Peru. His voice is a valuable force of the jungle to represent Amazonian indigenous groups and contribute to preserving the traditional knowledge of Acate (Kambo).
Founder of Kambo Practitioner Alliance
Lewis Powell is the founder of the Kambo Practitioner Alliance (KPA) and a Master Kambo Practitioner with 11 years of experience working with this medicine. He has sat with and learned from multiple Amazonian tribes, including the Matsés, and has completed many master plant diets over the past decade. Lewis was given permission by Matsés elders to study their way of life and learn directly about their traditional use of Dow-Kiet (Kambo), and continues to support their community through fundraising and cultural preservation. He’s personally treated thousands of clients and trained hundreds of practitioners, with a strong focus on safety, integrity, and cultural respect. Back home in Liverpool, UK, Lewis runs several grassroots community projects, including mental health and suicide prevention work. His approach is about keeping the work real, rooted, and in service — to the people, the practice, and the culture it came from.
Co Founder of Eco Tribe Immersions
Victoria Kult is a entrepreneur, naturopathic and functional medicine practitioner, breathwork educator, and Kambo practitioner who has spent years working closely with ancestral medicines and Indigenous communities throughout the Amazon. Her path has brought her deep into Brazil and Peru, where she continues to study, source medicine close to its origins, and learn directly from Indigenous traditions and plant-medicine practitioners. She also co-founded Eco Tribe Immersions, bringing groups into the Brazilian Amazon to experience Indigenous culture while supporting community-led projects, reforestation, and food sovereignty. Her work with Kambo is rooted in respect for the medicine, responsible sourcing, practitioner education, high standards of care, and ensuring that the communities at the source remain part of the conversation. We are also in the making of a documentary on amazon prime about kambo in the indigenous communities.
Founder of Jungle Cultura
Annelene, a physiotherapist from Venezuela, moved to Canada in 2015 and immersed herself in the cannabis industry. Motivated by a quest for personal growth and aligning with her life's purpose in education, travel, and the enhancing of quality of all life. She has explored multiple psychedelics, through many travels to the Amazon Jungle, Europe, Latin America and Asia. She has participated in sacred medicine journeys and shamanic studies, gaining profound insights along the way. Annelene has been honored with two medicine names: Soi Biri by the Shipibo, and Pemí by the Matsés, reflecting her deep connection with these traditions and the wisdom she carries forward. She has been invited to speaking engagements at notable venues such as the United Nations, Boom Festival, and Native Child and Family Services of Toronto, with her contributions at the festival published in the book Humans of Boom. Her advocacy includes teachings about harm reduction for psychedelics, heart-opening practices, inclusivity, and the deconstruction of societal norms, drawing from ancient and shamanic traditions as well as science.
Chacruna Institute
Dr. Bia Labate (Beatriz Caiuby Labate) is an anthropologist, educator, author, speaker, and activist, committed to the protection of sacred plants while amplifying the voices of marginalized communities in the psychedelic science field. As a queer Brazilian anthropologist based in San Francisco, she has been profoundly influenced by her experiences with ayahuasca since 1996. Dr. Labate has a Ph.D. in social anthropology from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in Brazil. Her work focuses on plant medicines, drug policy, shamanism, ritual, religion, and social justice. She is the Executive Director of the Chacruna Institute for Psychedelic Plant Medicines and serves as a Senior Advisor for Culture and Strategy at the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). Additionally, she is a Visiting Scholar at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley and acts as advisor for around 15 organizations, among them the Heroic Hearts Project, Soltara Healing Center, Sacred Plant Alliance, and the Alaska Entheogenic Awareness Council. Dr. Labate is also a co-founder of the Interdisciplinary Group for Psychoactive Studies (NEIP) in Brazil and the editor of its site. She has authored, co-authored, and co-edited 29 books, three special-edition journals, and numerous peer-reviewed and online publications.
