The Current Climate: Healing through Connection

This talk explores the living relationship between humans and nature, not as separate lifeforms, but as interwoven expressions of the same pulse. We are not merely witnesses to a changing planet; we are participants, contributors, and co-creators determining which way the pendulum will swing with each choice we make. Through the lens of Kambo (and other Earth-based wisdoms), we’ll journey into the understanding that healing is not an isolated path, but a symbiotic one. As we tend to our own bodies, the body of the Earth responds. When we slow down, when we come home to nature, when we remember the sacred, the Earth recognizes us as we walk through the door. This is an invitation to re-attune, recalibrate, and restore balance between humanity and the natural world through reciprocity, reverence, and relationship. Together, we’ll explore what it means to walk an ecological pathway; one where the well-being of the planet and the well-being of the people are inseparable, and where true harmony can only be found through reconnection: with ourselves, with the Earth, and with one another.

Matsés Culture, Reciprocity and Responsibility.

This talk explores the culture of the Matsés people, the original guardians of Kambo. Drawing from direct stories shared by Matsés chiefs, elders, and shamans, the Lewis offers insight into their traditional use of Dow-Kiet and the deep cultural significance this medicine holds in their way of life. Having been granted permission to study their traditions and learn directly from the community,Lewis carries the responsibility of sharing their words with respect and care. The talk also examines the Matsés' first contact in 1969, the lasting impact of that moment, and the ongoing need for Kambo practitioners to act as stewards — not only of the medicine, but of the culture it originates from. Attendees are invited to reflect on the depth and sensitivity of this relationship, and to consider the true meaning of reciprocity.

Reviving Nasal Kambó Practices with the Matsés - Maestro Dunu’s Legacy

Nasal Kambó is one of the most ancient and least understood ways of working with the Phyllomedusa bicolor tree frog. This method, rooted in Matsés tradition and passed on through the oral teachings of Maestro Dunu in Ibama, Peru, offers a powerful and less-invasive alternative to the burn method commonly known in the West. Whether you are a facilitator, or simply curious about traditional Amazonian medicine, this talk will offer a rare window into a lineage that has survived for centuries.

Modeling Change in Mind, Body, and Ritual: Predictors of Psychological Outcomes Following Kambo Use

Kambo, the Amazonian frog secretion traditionally used in ritual healing, is rapidly gaining traction in Western wellness circles — yet scientific data on its psychological effects remains limited. In this talk, T Wagner shares results from a pioneering study examining changes in self-reported depression, fatigue, mindfulness, and well-being in Kambo-naive participants following a series of three sessions.

Drawing on psychometric data and advanced predictive modeling, the research reveals key insights into what drives meaningful shifts in participants’ mental states — including the roles of fatigue reduction, mindfulness increase, and self-acceptance. Ritual elements such as the use of Sananga and Rapeh, burn point placement, and group dynamics were also explored for their contribution to outcomes.

This session will unpack the findings, explore the interplay between ceremony and neuropsychology, and discuss how evidence-based insights can guide safer, more intentional Kambo practices rooted in both tradition and science.

In this powerful and heart-centered talk, Kristina Boccio explores the unique and often overlooked relationship between Kambo and the female body. As a full-spectrum women’s health practitioner and mother who used Kambo throughout her own fertility, conception, and postpartum journey, Kristina brings lived wisdom and clinical insight into how Kambo can support hormonal balance, detoxification, reproductive vitality, emotional clearing, and cyclical restoration. She will illuminate how Kambo, when used skillfully, can support women at every stage—whether preparing the womb for conception, navigating postpartum depletion, coming off hormonal birth control, or reconnecting with their moon cycle after years of suppression. This conversation will also touch on the safe use of Kambo for breastfeeding mothers, womb trauma release, and how to work with Kambo in alignment with infradian rhythms and lunar cycles. Kristina will also share insights from her work training doulas, midwives, and practitioners in how to support women with integrity and reverence when using Kambo in their healing process.
